This 993 Targa was built in October 1995 and delivered in March 1996 at Porsche Gold Coast and is still in its original matching numbers / delivery spec. It is in absolutely stunning condition both inside and out having been extremely well looked after by its former owners. The colour is amazing in the sunlight and is commented upon every where it goes for its uniqueness. Being a 1996 year model car, this 993 is fitted with the 285 HP spec Varioram engine. The Targa really does offer the best of both worlds in terms of delivering the fresh air motoring available in a cabriolet and the security and refinement of a coupe when its all shut up. This is a car we know very well having sold it before and maintained it for its last 2 owners since early 2006. It has one of the best service books you will see for a 993 with no less than 17 stamps by Porsche specialists. Being a 993 they should have had quite a few dollars spent by now and this car is no different, previous owners have had the following work done in the last 6 years or so. Top end re-seal of engine to rectify oil leaks ie full new gasket set including through bolt o rings right down to crankcase. New Targa roof motors and cables, all new Bilstein suspension with Eibach springs, Fabspeed Mufflers etc... The car is only being sold now due to lack of use. It has travelled just 1500 klms since it had its major 120,000 klm service ( not due again till 140k's ) and its time to go. The price is very sensible as it was recorded as an economic repairable write off in 2006. All repairs were carried out by a Porsche specialist repairer to factory standards, following which it was inspected and signed off by the RMS.
This is one for the new car buyer. First delivered by Porsche Gold Coast in March 2008 and travelled a mere 30,000 odd klms since. The 911 Turbo needs no introduction, its king of the 911's and always will be. The 997 represents the last of a much loved series as it has that race derived 'Metzger' engine who's origins go back to Porsches 1998 Le Mans winner. Apart from that engine there is also something called a manual gearbox which you won't find in todays 'Turbo's and even though the PDK boxes are quite brilliant, there is a core group of enthusiasts that wont drive anything other than a manual. Hence making these cars ever popular and keenly sought after by enthusiast and investor alike. The big difference between this Turbo and the previous 996 version is VTG or variable turbo geometry which makes the on boost power delivery even more linear with the addition of another 60BHP over the old car. Combine this with a chassis that is 31kg lighter than the old one and you have a car that will spring to 100kmph in 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 310. Seriously fast when new and still today. When new, this car would have easily been more than $400k as the options list took a bit of a hiding. Firstly, sport chrono was selected, which gives the 997 Turbo a 10 second over boost function that offers another 60nm of torque. As if overtaking wasn't already quick enough. Then attention was turned to the interior which included very expensive carbon backed sport seats, carbon centre console, hand brake lever, gear lever and door pockets. It also has multi function steering wheel, rain sensor, xenon lights, full leather interior, sat nav and an aftermarket Mosto Bluetooth / Ipod system which integrates with the factory head unit out of sight. The front end of the car has been covered in stone chip protection film and presents like new as does the paintwork on the rest of the car. This is a car we have sold before, we know it well and are happy to say it is easily one of the best you will find anywhere. We have just completed a thorough mechanical inspection and the car will be sold with a fresh service bringing it completely up to date. Comes with full books and two keys.
Built as a tribute to Porsches legendary 2.8 RSR, this fantastic track / fast road car provides all the thrills for nowhere near the $2.5 - 3 Million cost of the real thing. In fact with all its upgraded components it would no doubt be even better than the original. This car was built from the ground up as a dedicated track day car and was based on an original Australian delivered 911T coupe from 1973. The lightweight shell and pared down interior means an extremely fun and nimble car weighing only approx. 1,000 kg. The bodywork is all in steel just like the original and apart from a bit of 'track rash' here and there is in excellent condition and looks fantastic in its speed yellow. To meet the looks and provide the substance, a freshly rebuilt 3.8 litre 964 RS style engine was fitted, and then all other components were built around this to suit, for example....... - Motec M48 engine management with PMO carburettors and throttle bodies. - Coil over suspension all round - 993 RS brakes front and 944 Turbo brakes rear - Short ratio 915 gearbox with track clutch and lightweight flywheel - Twin front mount engine oil coolers - 17' custom Fuchs wheels with R spec tyres - Sparco race seats - Full bolt in roll cage ( can easily be removed ) - Polycarbonate windows - Lightweight RS style interior As you can see from the list above, some serious $$$$ have been spent on building this car. It would cost easily in the vicinity of $250,000 to $300,000 to build today ( If you can find an early body shell ). Comes with loads of receipts and invoices, and a car trailer may also be made available for purchase if required.
