Boring out the original block to 2.8L, using Forged Competition pistons, Carillo rods, Steel crank, Alloy head, Roller rockers, Remote mounted oil filter with Oil Cooler, 10:1 Compression, Electronic ignition, Extractors and Twin 2” S.U carbies on DMD Alloy manifolds this Healey has a claimed 130bhp at the rear wheels, while still maintaining excellent manners and drive-ability. The chassis and bodywork were stripped down to the bare metal, and rebuilt to new in beautiful Healey Blue. In 100S style the steel bonnet and boot were replaced with an aluminium boot, and louvred bonnet held down with 100S hood latches, the windscreen was replaced with a period correct aero screen, the bumpers were deleted, an 80L aluminium fuel tank was installed and a removable alloy roll bar was fitted. With a hydraulic clutch, uprated springs, shockers and sway bar this BN1 is a dream to drive.
