I restored this B originally in 2006 for myself, but an older brother wanted to relive his youth and purchased it. Meticulously maintained with all receipts for all work performed, the B came back to me due to older brothers poor health. Vehicle is now mine again and registered in South Australia. The rebuild was a total bare metal strip down of a US imported MGB but returned to UK specifications. Engineer report available which confirms work performed to a very high standard. The 4 cylinder Petrol Aspirated 1800 L (1798 cc) engine has a lumpy cam and rebore to about 2.1L and is fitted with a reliable twin throat down draft Weber, headers and sports exhaust. Fitted with Tisoniccs FT66 Touch Start Immobiliser, new black interior with cloth on seats, some minor chips in paint and one very small scratch in LH rear courtesy of lady in 4wd at local shops. Large folder full of complete history with details of restoration history and costs, engine overall, maintenance and servicing etc This B is not for the purists, its a very, very quick classic sports car, would be ideal for someone who wants the power to go with the looks. The overdrive works perfectly in 3rd and 4th gears. Can assist with transport - contact for further details - pictures form part of the vehicle description - inspection recommended and welcomed. This car will not disappoint.
For sale is this much loved MGB red convertible coupe. The body of the car is in good condition. Motor runs well and is 90% complete. See photo for further description. Phone Ken for more information. Inspections welcome at Riverstone.
The one you have been waiting for. An A1 condition 1979 convertible green MG in perfect working order. Looks like a dream and runs like a dream. Registered until September 2015. All paperwork in order and records of all work done. Devastated to have to let it go! Brilliant on a freeway (I drive her to Canberra) and on short trips (obviously a hit at the beach). Has never let me down. Radio and CD player, original tan roof (the classic U.S. model), original wood steering wheel, original almost everything. Have a look - it is impossible to be disappointed.
My M.G. was fully restored, with the exception of the engine, 6 years ago. Since then I have fully reconditioned the engine, had the Air Con.system rebuilt, fitted new carpets and had the brakes overhauled. The Air Con. is a great asset on club runs.
This MGB is equipped with electric overdrive. Interior is in good original condition. All instruments and equipment work. Body has no rust and is in good original condition. Tyres are near new. Top is in good condition except for minor tear in one quarter window. A good reliable sports car.
