Morris LD5 Vintage Delivery Van, recently came from a farm in the Barossa Valley, where it had sat idle for 35 years. Has new plugs, points, condenser, battery, rebuilt fuel pump with all new internals, fuel tank dropped and professionally cleaned, all new fuel lines, carburettor partially stripped down checked over and rebuilt, engine fires up and can be heard running. The roof and everything behind the doors was built from galvanised steel and is rust free and very straight, no rust at all in the floors, there is a small amount of rust in a few places in the front cab, all of which is predominately flat panel work. Motor is running however it was/ is my intention to do an engine conversion as previously proven in these vans to a Holden red motor. Brakes not operational does have working handbrake. I have an original manual and drivers handbook, two spare wheels, currently no keys. Realistically unless your quite handy or can get things done at mates rates etc, its going to take $20-25k to restore this van, ie engine conversion, rust repairs, new brakes, heightening the roof (current standing height in rear is approx 1.7m, with the design of the van you could quite easily raise the whole roof or just a section of the rear with either fixed/ tilt or popup) and a simple paintjob. I can assist with obtaining most of the brake related parts for approx $1300 The van would suit someone looking for a vintage Food Truck conversion, mobile business or shop delivery truck with advertising and have a vehicle with instant character and Old World Charm. I may take part or full trade of another vehicle, classic or modern but no commodores or late model falcons. The first picture is to show the potential of what could be achieved with the van. Please call if you have further questions or would like to inspect. Kind regards
