I have been lucky enough to be the proud owner of a 1934 Morris 10/6, which has manged to find it's way from Britain to New Zealand then finally landing in Melbourne. I guess it was more luck than anything. I found out after contacting the International Alliance of Morris Owners (IAMO), that the 10/6 saloon has now become a rarity, as only 17 of this kind are now known to their database. She is in good condition, and would be a very easy car to restore, as she comes complete, from the engine, badges, interior, handles etc. New brakes were fitted as well as a firewall and new timber roofing. She is only missing two things - the running boards and the speedo, but she also came with the workshop manual, and some past paperwork about previous owners and history. At the moment she does have some khaki coloured paint on the body (easily removed), as she was used as a prop in the Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg mini-series "THE PACIFIC" (Episode 6, shown close up) which we do have paperwork for as we purchased her from the movie studios. I would have kept her and used her as our wedding car, but I no longer have the time due to work, and no longer have a shed!! lol So if you feel like owning a piece of history and being 1 of only 17 (known) ppl to own one of these in the world, then contact me for a viewing! Only travelled 1500 miles since a full restoration 3 years ago, the moke was completely stripped down and now has a fully galvanised body with show quality paint, custom two tone interior, aluminium checker plate floor, alloy roll bar and new roof, engine and transmission completely rebuilt with Weber carboy and 1198 cc kit at a cost of $4200, has minilite replica alloy wheels and brand new tyres, new exhaust, brakes, bearings, steering wheel, seat belts. I took this car as a trade on a couple of vintage motorcycles and it owed the previous owner close to $30K. You won't find a cleaner Moke for the price.
